1. When I press a button on my remote control, my alarm does not do anything. Please help.
- Please make sure that the control module (“brain”) was paired properly with the remote control(s). In order to pair the brain and the remote control(s), please carefully follow these instructions.
- Insert key into the key cylinder.
- Turn key to ACC.
- Cycle between ACC and ON 5 times. On the 5th time, leave the key in the ON position. The cycling must be done in less than 3 seconds.
- You should hear a siren chirp and the parking lights should flash. If this does not happen, you must do it again faster in order to enter programming mode.
- If you are in programming mode, press Button 1 on 2-way remote controls and the Lock/Arm button on 1-way remote controls. You can program up to 3 remote controls for each brain.
- Once you are finished, turn the key to the OFF position and verify that each remote control arms and disarms the system.
2. My 2-way remote control goes to the initial screen when I press a button.
- The remote control is running out of battery power. Please replace it with at least an alkaline type of battery.
3. My system will lock and unlock the doors. However, the alarm feature does not work.
- You are in valet mode. Exit valet mode by using your 2-way remote control to enter the menu system and ensure that there is an “X” for Valet. With the 1-way remote control, press the Lock and Start buttons at the same time.
4. My factory alarm goes off when my Zenesis alarm goes off.
- Your installer did not attach the factory disarm wire properly. Please take your vehicle to a qualified installer.
