WHAT IS A “SUPER INTELLIGENT” TURBO TIMER?
Vehicles
with turbo chargers or super chargers require “cool down” time after engine
activity. Turbo Timers allow the car to idle for a short time after you’ve come
to a stop and switched off the ignition. This starts cooling down the turbo
bearing(s) and prevents the oil from coking inside the turbo. If the oil cokes inside the turbo, overtime,
the carbon varnish and deposits will result in premature wear. In addition, it also lets the exhaust
manifold - and the rest of the engine – gradually come back down to normal
temperatures. But the trouble with a
normal turbo timer is the idle-on time is pre-set. So whenever you turn off the
car, the engine will run for a static duration of 15 seconds, 30 seconds or a
minute – whatever you have the timer set for. If you drive down the street to
get milk from a grocery store – your engine will still run for whatever pre-set
time you set it at. If it’s set at 3 minutes, you’re just wasting gas! On the
flip side, if you were late for work and drove like a maniac, you don’t want it
to cool down for only 30 seconds. What you need is an Intelligent Turbo
Timer. Instead of simply always leaving the car idling for a pre-set period, it
actively and dynamically watches how you drive. Static was yesterday, Dynamic is now!
Here’s
how it works:
Zenesis has developed a patent-pending system with complex algorithms to
calculate the optimal engine run time to cool down your systems. How?
Developed hand-in-hand with experts in turbo systems, Zenesis has developed the Super Intelligent Turbo Timer
that will calculate the optimal engine run time to cool down the systems
PROPERLY, while reducing unnecessary idling time. Best of all, this system is
BUILT IN! There’s no extra parts to purchase or extra
installation required. As long as you have a remote starter from Zenesis, you have the option to use this. It comes
available in normal pre-set time settings, or Automatic Intelligent Turbo Timer
“NORMAL” mode, as well as Automatic Intelligent Turbo Timer “Extreme” mode. The
“Extreme” mode is when you are racing or going on tracks – it amplifies the run
time.
With the Zenesis Super Intelligent Turbo Timer, just
set it and forget it! It may take some time to get used to it, but just let it
do the calculating for you – each and every time you drive.
