What is a Variable Voltage Sensing Technology (VVST) ?
Another innovation from Zenesis – targeted to providing the best possible solution for installers and end-users. There are two ways of installing a remote starter – Via Voltage Sensing or Tach Sensing. Tach has always been the most reliable method, but it is also the most time consuming to install. Voltage sensing is often used for areas that are not temperature sensitive. It is the preferred method by many installers since it is much easier and faster to install. The problem is, most, if not all of the Voltage Sensing systems in the market runs on adjusting the cranking time. This works fine – under controlled environment.
However, if the car is running low on gas, or if the temperature is cold/hot, the cranking time will vary according to environmental factors. Sometimes it needs to crank LONGER or SHORTER depending on these variables. Most other systems will attempt to start the car for the first time. If it fails, it will either decrease or increase the crank time and try again. It will continue and stop after a few times. This is unnecessary engine wear! Not to mention it may not even start at all.
So what is VVST?
Zenesis developed proprietary algorithms to calculate the EXACT voltage the car needs to start according to the variables. It does NOT run on pre-set crank time. What does this mean? CLEAN, STABLE, RELIABLE remote start, the FIRST time.
The VVST is a new technology that has not been tested on all vehicles due to the time constraints. Therefore, it is important to note that this system may not work on ALL vehicles.
